ABOUT ME
As a proud product of the NYC public school system, I am committed to serving the mental health needs of my community. I attended Midwood High School, Brooklyn College, and SUNY Downstate Medical School, where I received my medical degree. Following medical school, I completed both my general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working in a variety of psychiatric settings and treating children and adults with diverse presentations and degrees of severity. My outpatient and clinic experience includes working at established institutions such as Pesach Tikvah, NY Psychotherapy And Counseling Center, NYC Children's Center, and the Realization Center, among others. In addition, I have conducted private assessments for patients and successfully advocated for appropriate placement and services from the board of education.

My expertise extends to working in psychiatric emergency departments, inpatient psychiatric unit specializing in first episode psychosis and mania, outpatient private practice, and providing consultation to medical teams, amongst many others. As a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), I have been actively involved in the Consumer Issues Committee and contributed to their news article, AACAP News.

As a double board-certified psychiatrist in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), I am dedicated to providing high-quality care that is tailored to each individual's unique needs. My approach to treatment is patient-centered, evidence-based, and rooted in a deep respect for each person's journey to mental wellness.
